A. D. Whitfield, Jr. is a former American football running back in the National Football League for the Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Redskins. He played college football at the University of North Texas.After his career in the NFL A.D. played with the B.C. Lions of the CFL rushing for a high 754 yds. After not playing football for 4 yrs Whitfield signed with the upstart WFL's Florida Blazers where he finished his career after the 1974 season.
