Dawu Sports Stadium is a stadium located in Accra, Ghana. It was built by businessman Seth Yeboah for use by his football team, Dawu Youngstars.... However, Dawu have now been dissolved and the stadium is currently used by Right to Dream FC. Dawu Sports Stadium has a capacity of 10,000. In 2008, the stadium was the home venue for the African qualifiers for the Nike Premier Cup competition.

Azumah Nelson Sports Complex, also known as Kaneshie Complex, is a multi-use stadium in Accra, Ghana. The stadium was originally built during the era... of the Supreme Military Council under General Acheampong in the 1970s. It was used mostly for football matches, on club level by Accra Hearts of Oak SC and Great Olympics of the Ghana Premier League while the Ohene Djan Stadium was being re-built in 2007. The stadium has a capacity of 10,000 spectators. It is named after Azumah Nelson.

Rhiannon Afua "Rhian" Benson is a Ghanaian-British soul and jazz singer and songwriter. Benson was born in Accra, Ghana to a Welsh mother, who was a... singer, and an Ashanti father, who was a guitarist, and she has a younger sister. She was raised in Ghana, India , and the United Kingdom, where she eventually settled. Benson began playing piano and guitar and writing songs and poetry at an early age. Before pursuing a career in music, she attended the London School of Economics and gained a degree in econometrics. She continued her education at Harvard University, before working at an investment bank. Once back in the UK, she performed in small London clubs and was discovered by the Los Angeles-based record label, DKG Music. Benson moved to Los Angeles, California to record her debut album, Gold Coast, which was released in October 2003. She wrote all the songs on the album, having composed the music on guitar and keyboards, and co-produced it with producers Bob Power and James Poyser. Benson won a Mobo Award in 2005.

Emmanuel Tettey Mensah, best known as E. T. Mensah was a Ghanaian highlife musician. He began as a flutist with the Accra Orchestra, a... schoolchildren band, in 1930. In 1948 he formed "The Tempos", a group he might be best known for, and toured West Africa. The group gained international attention and in 1956 Mensah performed with Louis Armstrong. The highlife style declined starting in the 1960s, but he remained active for years afterward. He costarred on a highly successful album with the Nigerian trumpeter Dr Victor Abimbola Olaiya.

Hugh Anthony Quarshie is a British actor. Quarshie is of mixed Ghanaian, English and Dutch ancestry and was born in Accra, Ghana, to Emma Wilhelmina... and Richard Quarshie, an African of chiefly ancestry, and emigrated with his family to the United Kingdom when he was aged three. He was educated at Bryanston School , Dean Close School , where he played the role of Othello in an open-air production in the Tuckwell theatre, and then read PPE at Christ Church, Oxford. Quarshie considered becoming a journalist, but took up acting instead. He is a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company, and has appeared in many stage productions and television programs, including Behaving Badly with Judi Dench. Quarshie is known for playing the roles of Sunda Kastagir in Highlander and Captain Panaka in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. Quarshie appeared in the Doctor Who two-part episode "Daleks in Manhattan" and "Evolution of the Daleks" as Solomon, leader of the shantytown Hooverville, broadcast in April 2007. He also appeared at the Star Wars fan event Star Wars Celebration in 1999.

Peter Mensah , is an English/Ghanaian actor, best known for his roles in Tears of the Sun and 300, and more recently on the Starz original series,... Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: Vengeance. Mensah comes from an academic family. He was born in Ghana, to parents of the Ashanti people, but he moved to Hertfordshire, England, with his father , his mother and two younger sisters at a young age. Mensah moved to Canada 11 years ago. He emigrated from Britain to see the world and it was a toss-up whether his destination would be Canada or Australia. The paperwork for Canada came through first. Mensah's film credits include Avatar, 300, Hidalgo, Tears of the Sun, Jason X, Harvard Man, Bless the Child and The Incredible Hulk. He also stars in the short film The Seed, produced and directed by Linkin Park's DJ Joe Hahn. He has made television appearances in Star Trek: Enterprise, Tracker, Witchblade, Blue Murder, Relic Hunter, Earth: Final Conflict, Highlander: The Raven, Final Destination, and La Femme Nikita.

Obo Addy is an Ghanaian drummer and dancer who was one of the first native African musicians to bring the fusion of traditional folk music and... Western pop music known as worldbeat to Europe and then to the Pacific Northwest of the United States in the late 1970s. He currently teaches music at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon. Addy was born into the Ga ethnic group in Accra, the capital city of Ghana. He was one of the 55 children of Jacob Kpani Addy, a wonche or medicine man who integrated rhythmic music into healing and other rituals. Obo Addy's earliest musical influence was the traditional music of the Ga people, but he was also influenced as an adolescent by popular music from Europe and the United States, and performed in local bands that played Westernized music and the dance music of Ghana known as highlife. Addy was employed by the Arts Council of Ghana in 1969, and played his native Ga traditional music in the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich, Germany. He moved to London, England, and began touring in Europe. In 1978, he moved to Portland, Oregon in the United States, where he teaches at Lewis & Clark College.

Nana Kwame Abrokwa is a Ghanaian born German rapper and DJ, performing under the pseudonyms Nana or Darkman / Nana. Nana is not an actual first... name, but a Ghanaian title of nobility. His most important achievement came in the second half of the 1990s, when his style was characterized as "euro-rap". Nana arrived in Hamburg with his mother and his brothers at the age of 10. At the beginning of the 90's, his debut consists of DJ-ing in hip-hop clubs. he also co-produces and raps in some songs of DJ David Fascher , under the alias MC Africa True. In 1995 he joins as a rapper the Eurodance project Darkness, which was produced by Bülent Aris and Toni Cottura. The song "In My Dreams" becomes a club hit, but Nana didn't feel very comfortable with the style Darkness adopted and the group separates. However, his current scene name, Darkman, originates from this time. In 1996 Aris and Cottura founded the Black Music label Booya Music, which Nana joined as the first artist. The first single, "Darkman" reached the top 10 of Germany's official single-chart by Media Control.

Music Group and is also known for grooming some of the best artists Ghanaian Hip Hop or Hiplife has ever produced such as Obrafour, tinny, Kwaw Kese, Sarkodie, Ayigbe Edem, etc. as a producer, he is credited as one of the pioneers and key figures in the popularization of Hiplife or Hip Hop made in Ghana. Hammer began his career in music accidentally when a friend of his , a gifted keyboardist at the time encouraged him to take up the career because he realized Hammer had the ability to dissect and analyze music in the most unusual ways, as a professional does. He also had the habit of finding faults with world class professional music which he thought could be better. This friend and Hammer then formed a production unit called The Last Two, meaning the only two left to put Ghana on the world map musically.
