Hector de Jesus Ruiz is the chairman and CEO of Advanced Nanotechnology Solutions Inc. and former CEO & executive chairman of semiconductor... company Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. . Ruiz was born in the border town of Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico. As a teenager, he walked across the Mexico – United States border every day to attend a high school in nearby Eagle Pass, Texas, from which he graduated as valedictorian just three years after beginning to learn English. Ruiz earned a B.S. and M.S. in electrical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1968 and 1970 respectively and a Ph.D. from Rice University in 1973. Ruiz worked at Texas Instruments for six years and Motorola for 22 years, rising to become president of Motorola's Semiconductor Products Sector before being recruited in 2000 by AMD founder Jerry Sanders to serve as AMD's president and chief operating officer, and to become heir apparent to lead the company upon Sanders' retirement. Ruiz succeeded Sanders in the CEO's seat in 2002, and was named chairman of the board in 2004. Ruiz endorsed the decision to buy ATI, which led to a period of financial reverses.

Meyer also serves on the Board of Directors for AMD. Prior to his current role, Meyer served as president and chief operating officer of AMD’s Microprocessor Solutions Sector where he had overall responsibility for AMD’s microprocessor business, including product development, manufacturing, operations and product marketing. Meyer joined AMD in 1995 and led engineering for the AMD Athlon™ microprocessor. In April 1999, he was promoted to vice president of engineering. In 2001, he was named group vice president and general manager of AMD's microprocessor business and in 2002 was named senior vice president and an executive officer of AMD. Prior to AMD, Meyer spent nearly a decade at Digital Equipment Corporation, where he was co-architect of the Alpha 21064 and 21264 microprocessors. As one of the world’s leading microprocessor design innovators, Meyer was presented with the prestigious Association for Computing Machinery Maurice Wilkes Award at the 2003 International Symposium on Computer Architecture . Meyer graduated from the University of Illinois, where he received a bachelor's degree in computer engineering. He also received a master's degree in business administration from Boston University.

Eberhart holds a bachelor of science degree from Bowling Green University. Ms. Eberhart previously served on the board of directors of AT Kearney, a subsidiary of EDS. She also served as the chair of the political action committee at EDS and is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Ms. Eberhart also serves on the board of directors of Anadarko Petroleum Corporation and Solectron Corporation.
