Afterglow is a 1997 feature film starring Nick Nolte and Julie Christie. Alan Rudolph directed and wrote the script for the film. It was produced by Robert Altman and filmed in Montreal. Christie's portrayal earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, but the award went to Helen Hunt for As Good as It Gets. The film is about two families who are unhappy with their respective relationships: first of ambitious businessman Jeffrey Byron and his sexually frustrated wife Marianne and second of Repair contractor "Lucky" Mann and his former B-movie actress wife... Phyllis , are unhappily married couple living in Montreal, Canada. After 15 years of their marriage, one day Phyllis told her husband that he is not the father of her daughter rather she had begotten her when he is away at the Navel duty and she struck in a Dressing room with a co-actor Jack, who was very attractive. He deeply shocked and surprised on this. He left the house for some fresh air and thinks about their relationship, but ultimately goes to the bar & drink in excesses.
