The Aiptek A-HD 720P is compatible with SDHC flash media giving you 240 minutes of HD record time on an 8 GB memory card. Night Shot enhances image quality when shooting in dark environments and HDTV component output allows you to stream media to the big screen quickly and conveniently. The A-HD 720P also doubles as a personal media player giving you the option to record and store video from any source that has standard RCA outputs.

Small enough to fit in a pocket, clear display, USB-chargeable, and wrist strap.
Cons:
Cheap plastic, no carrying case, and menu is difficult to navigate.

Inexpensive HD video camera. Takes good stills. Uses SD cards. HD video output.
Cons:
Grainy mic. HD video is compressed. Manual focus. Plastic (cheap) construction. Quicktime encoding.

Review: The camera is priced right for what it does, and how well it works. Not a terrible way to start out with HD DV.
