All My Children

Julia Barr is an American actress. Barr is most famous for her role on the soap opera All My Children, playing the character of Brooke English. She played the role from 1976 to 1981 and from 1982 to December 20, 2006 and Barr made a special appearance as Brooke on January 5, 2010 as part of the... series' 40th anniversary, and returned on February 23, 2010 for a three-month stint until April 23, 2010. Growing up as an only child in Fort Wayne, Barr made her acting debut at the age of 13 in a production of Peter Pan. This helped her decide to pursue acting as a career, and by the time she graduated from college at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne, she had performed in 25 professional productions. She spent two years at the Studio Arena Theater in Buffalo, New York. Barr broke into soap operas with a short stint as bad girl Reenie Szabo on the now-defunct Ryan's Hope. She was soon invited to join the cast of All My Children as Brooke English, succeeding Elissa Leeds in the role.

Francesca James is an American actress, writer, director, producer. She grew up in Michigan where she began her professional career in the theater at the age of sixteen. After studying theater at Carnegie-Mellon University, she moved to New York City where she worked in theater and, for several... years, in daytime dramas including As the World Turns, One Life to Live and All My Children . James left the cast of All My Children in 1980 to pursue a career in directing. Her directing credits include All My Children and Loving. She then moved to Los Angeles as a producer, where she worked on General Hospital, Santa Barbara and Days of Our Lives. While she was producing General Hospital in 1994-95, the show was twice awarded the Daytime Emmy as "Outstanding Drama Series." In 1995, James returned to New York and All My Children, which earned its second "Outstanding Daytime Drama" with her as producer. In 1998, James left the All My Children production team, but stayed with ABC Daytime in a consulting position and as the head of their writer development program for the next year.

Her big break came when she won the role of Cosette in Les Misérables, leading to other roles on and off-Broadway. She graduated from the Professional Children's School and attended Harvard University, with ambitions to become a lawyer, but later left the institution. In 2000, she served as an intern at the White House for the summer.

David Hoyt Canary is an American actor, who starred in both soap operas and prime time television. He is best known for his roles as the ranch foreman, Candy Canaday on Bonanza and identical twins Adam Chandler from 1983 to 2010 and Stuart Chandler from 1984 to 2009 on the daytime serial, All My... Children. He has won five Daytime Emmy Awards for Lead Actor in 1988, '89, '93, '95 and 2001, and has been nominated an additional eleven times, most recently in 2008. Although Canary was born in Elwood, Indiana, he grew up and attended high school in Massillon, Ohio. He played football for the famed Massillon Tigers of Washington High School before earning a football scholarship to the University of Cincinnati, where he trained as a singer and became a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity. "I got it from both sides. The guys on the football team laughed about the music studies. My musical classmates could not believe I was a jock", says Canary . Darnell Williams is a British-born soap opera actor. Williams won two Daytime Emmy Awards for his work on All My Children in the 1980s. During the mid-1980s, both he and Morgan co-hosted a dance show titled "New York Hot Tracks," that also featured music videos. In 1988 Williams left All My Children and returned to soap operas as Jesse's look-alike Jacob Foster on Loving and The City. He later briefly reprised his role of Jesse on All My Children, albeit in angel form, when he welcomed Gillian Andrassy into Heaven in 2001.
