All Time Rushing Yards

The NFL’s all time leading rusher is Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith with a total of 18,355 career rushing yards. He took the title from his football idol, Walter Payton of Chicago Bears fame, on October 27, 2002. Walter Payton had previously held the record with 16,726 yards after passing Jim Brown of the Cleveland Browns in 1984.
