Alliance University College is a Christian college located in Calgary, Alberta. Its predecessor, the Canadian Bible Institute, was founded in 1941, and in 1961 received school accreditation from Association for Biblical Higher Education and became Canadian Bible College. Canadian Bible College worked to create a seminary program, which was first an affiliate of the University of Regina, but became independently accredited in 1989 as the Canadian Theological Seminary. In 2004, Canadian Bible College/Canadian Theological Seminary was approved to grant Bachelor of Arts degrees, and was renamed... Alliance University College. Canadian Bible College now refers to Alliance University College's School of Ministry, while the Canadian Theological Seminary offers graduate programs in ministry and theology. Alliance University College has a close association with Nazarene University College, and though Alliance University College-Nazarene University College offers cooperative undergraduate programs, the two colleges grant degrees independently.
