Tristan Keuris was a Dutch composer. Keuris initially studied with Jan van Vlijmen in Amersfoort. At the age of 15 he started his studies with Ton... de Leeuw at the Utrecht Conservatory. Upon graduating from the conservatory he received the 'Prijs voor compositie' . He strongly admired composers like Mahler, Webern and Stravinsky. He taught composition at the conservatories in Hilversum, Utrecht and Amsterdam. He also taught at masterclasses and gave lectures in the United States, Norway, Germany and the United Kingdom. Keuris received international recognition with the symphonic work Sinfonia , first performance in 1976. Many of Tristan Keuris works were written on commission, like the Saxophone Quartet Concerto on commission from the Dutch Government, Catena , for the 100th anniversary of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, Symphonic transformations for the Houston Symphony Orchestra and the Concerto for two cellos for the BBC .

Marike Jager is a Dutch singer-songwriter, guitarist and television presenter. She grew up in Leusden and learned to play the guitar while... backpacking through Australia, New Zealand, Asia and South Africa. There she wrote her first song 'Lizzy'. When she got back in the Netherlands she went to the stages, quickly winning the 'Studenten Songfestival in Maastricht . Soon after she also won the Sky Radio Talentenjacht , the demopoll by the Brussels Studio and the prestigious 'Grote Prijs van Nederland' 2003 in the category singer/songwriter. After winning the Grote Prijs, she meets Henk Jan Heuvelink. He plays the wurlitzer, harmonium and the piano. Together they regularly play at festivals, in theaters and on the radio. In 2008 drummer Nicky Hustinx joins the band. The Beauty Around In the summer of 2005, Marike records her first album The Beauty Around. It was released on 15 May 2006, on her own record label, Morning Coffee Records. It is distributed by V2Records. The debut lives up to everyone’s expectations.
