Ángel Isaac Salomé is a Major League Baseball outfielder who is currently in the Seattle Mariners organization. Salomé was drafted by the Milwaukee Brewers in the fifth round of the 2004 Major League Baseball Draft as a catcher. He was called up to the majors for the first time on September 1, 2008, and made his debut two days later with a fly out as a pinch-hitter. In May 2010, Salomé left the Triple-A Nashville Sounds to deal with an undisclosed mental issue. Though once a top catching prospect for Milwaukee, Salomé requested a change to the outfield which was... granted, effectively ending his career as a catcher. He was released as a free agent following the 2010 season. On April 20, 2011 Salome was signed by the Seattle Mariners.
