Caitlin Mariah Hale is an American child actress and singer who is most noted for her role as Marta in the 2003 film School of Rock, at age 12. She... is the daughter of former Connecticut State Senator Gary Hale and his wife Barbara. Hale has sung since the age of two, appearing in the New England Ballet Theatre’s The Nutcracker at age 3, and later played the lead in "Annie" at Sacred Heart University, and Molly in "ShowBiz Kids" at Bridgeport’s Polka Dot Playhouse. She has also sung the national anthem at a University of Connecticut men and women’s basketball games, and the state Republican convention. In School of Rock, Hale plays Marta, the giggly blonde girl with the pigtails, that sings as one of the three backing vocalists. Hale is currently a Junior at Arizona State University in Tempe and a member of the Delta Gamma sorority. She is a journalism major specializing in public relations.
