Antonie Kamerling was a Dutch television and film actor and musician. Antonie Kamerling was still a law student when in 1990 he was cast in the then... new Dutch soap opera Good Times, Bad Times. His character, Peter Kelder, quickly became one of the most popular on the program. In 1993 he got the lead in De Kleine Blonde Dood, directed by Jean van de Velde. At the time, his casting was quite controversial, as soap actors were considered to be inferior to 'professional' actors. Kamerling eventually got nominated for a Gouden Kalf for best actor, the most important Dutch film award. In 1997, he starred in another film by Van de Velde, All Stars. For the film, about an amateur football team, he sang the theme song, "Toen Ik Je Zag" , written by the popular Dutch singer Guus Meeuwis. The song was released as a single under his character's name, Hero, and soon was a number one hit on the Dutch charts. From that moment on, he tried to get a music career, but could never repeat the success of his first single.

Eduard van Beinum was a Dutch conductor. Beinum was born in Arnhem, Netherlands, where he received his first violin and piano lessons at an early... age. He joined the Arnhem Orchestra as a violinist in 1918. His grandfather was conductor of a military band. His father played the double bass in the local symphony orchestra, the Arnhemse Orkest . His brother Co van Beinum was a violinist, and the two brothers performed as a violin-piano duo in concerts. As a student at the Amsterdam Conservatoire, he gained conducting experience with several concerts by amateur ensembles in Schiedam and Zutphen. He also conducted concerts by the choir of the church of St. Nicholas in Amsterdam. Van Beinum was the conductor of the Haarlem Orchestral Society from 1927 to 1931. He first conducted the Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam in 1929. He became second conductor of the Concertgebouw Orchestra in 1931, under the supervision of Willem Mengelberg. In 1938 he was named co-principal conductor, alongside Mengelberg.

He is most famous for his reporting of the Tour de France, but also comments on speedskating, basketball , and most other sports, apart from football . Smeets also has a weekly radio show, For the Record, on Radio 2, two hours of rarely played music. Mart Smeets writes columns for several newspapers and magazines, including Trouw. He is also the author of more than 25 books.

Rudolf Jansen is a Dutch pianist, who studied piano, organ and harpsichord simultaneously at the Conservatoire of Amsterdam. His teachers were Nelly... Wagenaar, his father Simon C. Jansen, Felix de Nobel and Gustav Leonhardt. His studies were crowned by two Prix d'Excellence, one for piano and one for organ. In 1965 he was awarded the Toonkunst Jubileumprijs, in 1966 the "Zilveren Vriendenkrans" by the Friends of the Concertgebouw. He won the Edison Award twice: in 1973 with Han de Vries , and 1987 with Dorothy Dorrow. As well as being a solo performer, Rudolf Jansen has gradually come to specialize in Lied accompaniment and chamber music. He travels the world over with concert tours in which he accompanies highly reputed artists such as Elly Ameling, Robert Holl, Hanneke Kaasschieter, Han de Vries, Peter Schreier, Andreas Schmidt, Olaf Bär, Tom Krause, Brigitte Fassbänder, Barbara Bonney, Hans Peter Blochwitz, Edith Wiens, Jean-Pierre Rampal and Abbie de Quant. He teaches at the Sweelinck Conservatoire and regularly gives masterclasses for song/piano duos in the Netherlands and abroad.

Albert Gerard "Bert" Koenders currently serves as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Representative and Head of the United Nations... Operation in Côte d’Ivoire . He was appointed to this position by the United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on 2 August 2011. Koenders is a former Dutch politician. He was Minister for Development Cooperation of the Netherlands from 2007 until 2010. From 1997 until 2007 he was a member of the House of Representatives. In 1983 Bert Koenders graduated cum laude in Political and Social Sciences at the Free University in Amsterdam, specialised in international relations and economics. He received his Master of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, where he studied at the School of Advanced International Studies in Bologna, Italy and Washington D.C.. He was adjunct professor at Webster University in Leiden. In 2002 he was visiting professor at Johns Hopkins University in Bologna teaching about conflict prevention, conflict management and post-conflict reconstruction. Koenders was a member of the House of Representatives for the Dutch Labour Party from 1997 until 2007.
