Vector Arena is a 12,000-seat arena for sports and entertainment events in Auckland, New Zealand. Named for a sponsor, Vector Limited, the arena is... located at Quay Park, Parnell, very close to the former Auckland Railway Station. Vector Arena cost around $80 million, and of this sum ratepayers contributed $68 million for the facility to be managed by QPAM, the NZ operator, in New Zealand first big public-private partnership. This runs for 40 years before ownership is transferred to the city. After delays due to construction-related issues, the arena's first concert was Rock Star Supernova on 24 March 2007. The venue has since hosted numerous local and international events, with a full list available from the official website. Scheduled to open early 2006, this was first delayed towards the end of 2006, when a second opening date was again missed. The delays were apparently due to the Arena's builder, Mainzeal, having various problems with the structure, especially with the roof, where the 120 m main truss had to be strengthened, and where added insulation to waterproof the building against the humid local climate had to be included.

The Sky Tower is an observation and telecommunications tower located on the corner of Victoria and Federal Streets in the Auckland CBD, Auckland... City, New Zealand. It is 328 metres tall, as measured from ground level to the top of the mast, making it the tallest free-standing structure in the Southern Hemisphere. Due to its shape and height, especially when compared to the next tallest structures, it has become an iconic structure in Auckland's skyline. The tower is part of the SKYCITY Auckland casino complex, having been originally built for Harrah's Entertainment. The tower attracts an average of 1,450 visitors per day for a variety of reasons. The upper portion of the tower contains two restaurants and a cafe, including a revolving restaurant which is located 190m from the ground, turning 360 degrees once every hour. There is also a brasserie style buffet located one floor above the main observatory level. It has three observation decks at different heights, each providing 360 degree views of the city.

Eden Park is the biggest stadium in Auckland, New Zealand. It is used primarily for rugby union in winter and cricket in summer . The ground also... occasionally hostts rugby league matches. The ground is located three kilometres southwest of Auckland's CBD, straddling the boundary between the Kingsland and Mount Eden suburbs. The Eden Park area has been in use for sport since around 1900. Eden Park has been the home to Auckland Cricket since 1910, and has also hosted many international Tests and One Day International cricket matches. In 1950, Eden Park was the principal venue for the IV British Empire Games, where the Opening Ceremony and the Track and Field Events were held. The Auckland Town Hall is a historic building on Queen Street in downtown Auckland, New Zealand, known both for its original and ongoing use for... administrative functions , as well as for its famed Great Hall and its separate Concert Chamber. The Town Hall and its surrounding context is highly protected as a 'Category A' heritage place in the city's district plan. Opened on 14 December 1911 by Lord Islington, then the Governor of New Zealand, the building is one of the most prominent heritage structures on Queen Street. Costing £ 126,000 to construct, it was designed by Melbourne architects, JJ & EJ Clarke, their Italian Renaissance Revival building selected from amongst 46 proposals. The five-storey building was specially designed to fit the wedge-shaped piece of land that had been acquired for it at the meeting of Queen Street and Grey Street. The town hall formed Auckland's first permanent seat of both administration and entertainment in the young city's early history, with its Great Hall modelled on the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, and being considered as having one of the finest acoustics in the world.

Graeme Revell is a New Zealand film score composer. Revell attended Auckland Grammar School, where he finished his final year in 7A. He is... relatively unknown to most New Zealanders, despite having worked in the film business for 30 years, compared to fellow Hollywood New Zealanders such as Anna Paquin, Sam Neill and Zoë Bell. Revell is a classically trained pianist and French horn player, but also graduated from the University of Auckland with degrees in economics and political science. He worked as a regional planner in Australia and Indonesia and as an orderly in an Australian psychiatric hospital. Later, he was a founding member of the industrial music band SPK, playing keyboards and percussion. The SPK single "In Flagrante Delicto" was the basis for his first film score, for Dead Calm, which won him an Australian Film Industry award. His musical style is very much electronic and computer-based in nature, yet often utilizes classical instruments or entire arrangements for certain pieces, much like his contemporary counterparts Hans Zimmer and Mark Isham.

Callan Francis Mulvey is an Australian actor. Mulvey was born in New Zealand and is of Maori heritage. His family moved to Sydney, Australia when he... was eight years old. Best known for his role as Mark Moran on the popular Australian drama Underbelly, Mulvey attended Beacon Hill High School along with other Heartbreak High cast members Jon Pollard and Alle Brunning. Mulvey was injured in a serious car accident in 2003, in a head-on collision at 100 km/h. He was trapped in the vehicle for almost an hour until he could be freed from the wreckage. The mid section of his face collapsed, an incision was made from ear to ear over the top of his scalp, his face "pulled down" and 17 titanium plates were then inserted to repair the fractures to his face and jaw. His left knee and ankle were badly fractured and he lost vision in one eye. In the mid-nineties, he was a member / sponsored by Manly Blades Inline Skating. His skating, like fellow cast member Jon Pollard, was featured extensively in Heartbreak High. In 2007 he re-entered the spotlight for the release of Thunderstruck.
