Aurora Township is located in Kane County, Illinois. It is a 6-mile square, of which 34.63 square miles is land and 0.67 square miles is water. It is divided by the Fox River. Its population in the 2000 Census was 115,553, the largest in the county. It has 38,755 housing units. Most of the township is incorporated in the City of Aurora.
