Arnold Ray "Bake" McBride , also nicknamed "Shake n' Bake" and "The Callaway Kid", is a former Major League Baseball outfielder, known primarily as a member of the Philadelphia Phillies' teams of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Selected in the 37th round in 1970 as the 811st player, he made his major league debut for the St. Louis Cardinals in 1974, finishing the season with 173 base hits, 30 stolen bases, and a .309 batting average, and was named the National League's Rookie of the Year, the first Cardinal to earn the award since Bill Virdon in 1955.
