Joseph Vincent "Joe" Flacco is the starting quarterback for the Baltimore Ravens. He played college football for the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Delaware. He was the 18th overall pick by the Ravens in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft. In his third year in the NFL, Flacco is ranked first all time in Ravens history for passing yards and passing touchdowns . By starting in two playoff games in 2009, Flacco earned the record for most starts by a quarterback in the first two seasons in NFL history .

Benjamin Richard Grubbs is an American football player, born in Eclectic, Alabama. Grubbs was a three-year starter at Auburn University. Following completion of his collegiate eligibility, the Baltimore Ravens drafted Grubbs with their first round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He is nicknamed "Big... Hurt" after another Auburn University star and retired baseball slugger, Frank E. Thomas. Grubbs attended Elmore County High School where he was a standout on the gridiron as the team's star linebacker. Grubbs registered 150 tackles, six sacks, and an interception as a senior. A two-way star, Grubbs also played fullback, rushing for 130 yards on 28 carries, with two touchdowns. He also caught seven passes for 50 yards. As a junior, Ben managed 110 total tackles, and an interception. Grubbs also lettered as a four-year starter on the basketball team. As a senior, he was rated one of the top 10 players in Alabama by SuperPrep Magazine. Grubbs was a SuperPrep All-American and an Alabama Sports Writer's Class 4A All-State selection as a linebacker. Etuini Haloti Ngata is a American football defensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens of the National Football League . He played college football for the University of Oregon, and earned All-American honors. He entered the 2006 NFL Draft and was drafted by the Ravens with the 12th pick in the... first round. Ngata is of Tongan ancestry, but was born in Inglewood, California. He attended Highland High School in Salt Lake City, Utah and was a three-year starter on the defensive line. As a senior, he recorded over 100 tackles and led his team to the state quarterfinals, following a 12-2 record and a berth in the State Championship as a junior. Ngata was named the 2001 Utah Gatorade Player of the Year and a first-team USA Today All-USA selection. He played in the 2002 U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Ngata was listed as a five-star recruit and the No. 2 overall prospect in the nation by Rivals.com. He chose Oregon over BYU, Nebraska, Texas A&M, and Washington. Ngata also played rugby in high school, and helped lead the Highland Rugby Club to the National Rugby Championship. He was red carded in the championship match.

On August 5, 1967, they became the first ever AFL team to defeat an NFL team after beating the Detroit Lions, 13–7, in a preseason game. However, the Broncos were largely not successful in the 1960s, compiling a record of 39–97–4 in the league.
