Partnership for Peace is a North Atlantic Treaty Organisation program aimed at creating trust between NATO and other states in Europe and the... former Soviet Union; 22 States are members. It was first proposed as an American initiative at the meeting of NATO defense ministers in Travemünde, Germany, on 20–21 October 1993, and formally launched on 10–11 January 1994 NATO summit in Brussels, Belgium. Ten former member states have subsequently joined NATO. On April 26, 1995 Malta became a member of PfP; it left on October 27, 1996 in order to keep its security intact. On March 20, 2008 Malta decided to reactivate their PfP membership; this was accepted by NATO at the Summit in Bucharest on April 3, 2008. During the NATO summit in Riga on November 29, 2006, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia were invited to join PfP after which they joined PfP on December 14, 2006. Cyprus is the only European Union member that is not participating. Turkey has threatened to block an attempt from Cyprus to engage with NATO until the Cyprus dispute is resolved.

The World Bank differs from the World Bank Group, in that the World Bank comprises only two institutions: the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the International Development Association , whereas the latter incorporates these two in addition to three more: International Finance Corporation , Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency , and International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes . The World Bank is one of five institutions created at the Bretton Woods Conference in 1944. The International Monetary Fund, a related institution, is the second. Delegates from many countries attended the Bretton Woods Conference. The most powerful countries in attendance were the United States and United Kingdom, which dominated negotiations. The United Nations is an international organization whose stated aims are facilitating cooperation in international law, international security,... economic development, social progress, human rights, and achievement of world peace. The UN was founded in 1945 after World War II to replace the League of Nations, to stop wars between countries, and to provide a platform for dialogue. It contains multiple subsidiary organizations to carry out its missions. There are currently 193 member states, including every internationally recognised sovereign state in the world but Vatican City. From its offices around the world, the UN and its specialized agencies decide on substantive and administrative issues in regular meetings held throughout the year.

The Commonwealth of Independent States is a regional organization whose participating countries are former Soviet Republics, formed during the... breakup of the Soviet Union. The CIS is comparable to a very loose association of states and in no way comparable to a federation, confederation or supranational union such as the European Community. It is more comparable to the Commonwealth of Nations. Although the CIS has few supranational powers, it is aimed at being more than a purely symbolic organization, nominally possessing coordinating powers in the realm of trade, finance, lawmaking, and security. It has also promoted cooperation on democratization and cross-border crime prevention. As a regional organization, CIS participates in UN peacekeeping forces. Some of the members of the CIS have established the Eurasian Economic Community with the aim of creating a full-fledged common market.

The Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, also known as BSUIR , is a scientific and educational center in Minsk, Belarus... (the nation's capital. BSUIR was founded on March 15, 1964, and plays a leading role in preparing its students in the fields of computer science, radioelectronics and telecommunications in Belarus. Over 50,000 engineers and 1,000 Ph.D. and Sc.D.s, successfully working in the most science-intensive fields of the Belarus economy, have graduated from the university. BSUIR employs four academicians and a corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 55 professors, and 243 senior lecturers. Over 15,000 students study in 30 degree programs; over 300 are foreign students. The University consists of 10 departments; the Institute of Advanced and Conversion Training; scientific and research centers and master's and doctorate courses. On September 1, 1964, the Radioengineering Institute admitted students for the first time.

Dimitry Elyashkevich is a producer and camera operator of the MTV series of Jackass and Wildboyz. He was born on February 23, 1975 in Minsk, Soviet... Union . Dimitry has also cameoed in the series and movies, most notably the Gumball 3000 rally special as their Russian Interpreter, as well as being part of the "Terror Taxi" skit in Jackass Number Two. Elyashkevich has also worked with Steve-O in his Don't Try This At Home tour. He was the voice of the exhale in the "Dickhouse" logo at the beginning of Jackass Number Two. Dimitry revealed this in the DVD commentary for the film. Dimitry currently resides in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up. On an episode of Radio Bam, Bam stated that Dimitry has a gambling problem. On a trip to Las Vegas, the jackass crew all took away his money as a joke so that he couldnt gamble that night, and it was said that Dimitry did not sleep that whole night until he got a hold of the money to go gamble. Dimitry directed the 2009 documentary film "Demise and Rise of Steve-O". His name is pronounced El-E-Osk-A-Vich.

Alexandra Zaretsky was born in Minsk, Belarus SSR, Soviet Union. Originally from Minsk, the Zaretsky family was Jewish and made aliyah soon after this was made possible. Alexandra, who was three years old at the time, was raised in Metula, Israel where her parents work as coaches. Alexandra Zaretsky speaks fluent Hebrew, Russian, and English. In October 2008 the Zaretskys and their coach Galit Chait filed a lawsuit against the Ice House training rink in Hackensack, New Jersey, alleging that rink officials discriminated against them on the basis of their Israeli nationality by denying them prime training time and threatening to ban them from the rink. Alexandra Zaretsky began skating at the age of 6, after starting out in rhythmic gymnastics. She originally skated as a single skater, winning age group medals.

The Second Polish Republic, Second Commonwealth of Poland or interwar Poland refers to Poland between the two world wars; a period in Polish history... in which Poland was restored as an independent state.
