Estadio San Mamés, AKA La Catedral , is a football stadium in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. The stadium is the home of Athletic Bilbao, known... as "Los leones de San Mamés-Bilboko lehoiak" . They are known as Los leones because their stadium was built near a church called San Mamés . Mammes was an early Christian thrown to the lions by the Romans. The lions refused to eat Mammes and he was later made a saint. The club's new stadium, San Mamés Barria, is currently under construction at a cost of 160 million euros, and will open in 2013. Opened in 1913, it is Spain's oldest built stadium , a distinction that together with its religious heritage has granted it the nickname, la Catedral . San Mamés can seat almost forty thousand people and is renowned for the unique and boisterous atmosphere its crowds of devoted and loyal fans create on match-days. The current stadium was almost entirely rebuilt to host matches in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.

The Guggenheim Museum Bilbao is a museum of modern and contemporary art, designed by Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry, built by Ferrovial, and... located in Bilbao, Basque Country, Spain. It is built alongside the Nervion River, which runs through the city of Bilbao to the Atlantic Coast. The Guggenheim is one of several museums belonging to the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation. The museum features permanent and visiting exhibits of works by Spanish and international artists. One of the most admired works of contemporary architecture, the building has been hailed as a "signal moment in the architectural culture", because it represents "one of those rare moments when critics, academics, and the general public were all completely united about something." The museum was the building most frequently named as one of the most important works completed since 1980 in the 2010 World Architecture Survey among architecture experts. The curves on the building were to appear random. The architect said that "the randomness of the curves are designed to catch the light".

Amaya Uranga Amezaga is a Spanish singer, best known for the fifteen years she spent as a member of the Basque folk/pop sextet Mocedades. She is a... cousin of director Pablo Berger. Uranga formed Mocedades in 1969 with eight members. After numerous group changes, together with her sister Izaskun, her brother Roberto, and three other male members, Uranga came second in the 1973 Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Eres Tú," and the band subsequently launched a hugely successful music career in Latin America and Spain. She was lead singer on many of Mocedades' most successful songs, such as the smash hit "Eres Tú" and "Tómame o Déjame." Uranga left Mocedades in 1984 to pursue a solo career, although she failed to surpass her success in Mocedades. In the mid-1990s Uranga joined a new band called El Consorcio. She has also appeared as herself many times on Spanish-language television shows. Amaya performs from a wheel chair since 2011.
