Michael Rubens Bloomberg is the current Mayor of New York City. With a net worth of $19.5 billion in 2011, he is also the 12th-richest person in the United States. He is the founder and 88% owner of Bloomberg L.P., a financial news and information services media company. A Democrat before seeking... elective office, Bloomberg switched his registration in 2001 and ran for mayor as a Republican, winning the election that year and a second term in 2005. Bloomberg left the Republican Party over policy and philosophical disagreements with national party leadership in 2007 and ran for his third term in 2009 as an independent candidate on the Republican ballot line. He was frequently mentioned as a possible independent candidate for the 2008 presidential election, which fueled further speculation when he left the Republican Party. There was also speculation that he would run as a vice-presidential candidate. Bloomberg did not, however, seek the presidency nor was he selected as a running mate by any of the presidential candidates.

Frank Savage is Chief Executive Officer of Savage Holdings LLC, a global financial services company.  Prior to forming Savage Holdings, Mr.... Savage was Chairman of Alliance Capital Management International, a division of Alliance Capital Management Corporation.  He is also a former member of the board of directors of Alliance Capital Management Corporation.  Alliance Capital is an investment management subsidiary of AXA Financial Inc., formerly known as The Equitable Companies Incorporated, with over $420 billion in assets.  Mr. Savage was formerly Senior Vice President of The Equitable Life Assurance Society, and Chairman of Equitable Capital Management Corporation, a $35 billion Equitable Life investment management subsidiary, which was merged with Alliance Capital in July 1993. Mr. Savage has a distinguished 33-year career in international banking, corporate finance, and global investment management.  He spent the early part of his career with the International Division of Citicorp, serving in the Middle East and Africa.  After a brief period as a principal in an international leasing company, TAW International Leasing, he spent several years as an investment officer with Equitable Life, lending directly to U.S. and foreign companies.  He rose to the position of Chairman of Equitable Capital Management Corporation, a major investment management subsidiary of Equitable Life, and built the firm’s global investment management business. Mr. Savage serves on the boards of several corporations and not-for-profit organizations, including Bloomberg, L.P., the New York Philharmonic and the New York Academy of Medicine.  He is Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Trustees of Howard University and Trustee Emeritus of Johns Hopkins University. He earned a B.A. in 1962 from Howard University, an M.A. in 1968 from The Johns Hopkins University Nitze School of Advanced International Studies, and received an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Humane Letters from Hofstra University and an Honorary Doctorate of Humanities from Howard University.
