Bonnie Scotland is a 1935 American film starring Laurel and Hardy, produced by Hal Roach for Hal Roach Studios and directed by James W. Horne. Although the film begins in Scotland, a large part of the action is set in British India. After escaping from jail where they had "one more week to serve," Laurel and Hardy travel to Scotland as stowaways on a cattle boat, where Laurel believes he is heir to his grandfather's fortune. As it turns out, Laurel has only been bequeathed a set of bagpipes and a snuff container. After a series of mishaps, Laurel and Hardy join a Scottish regiment of the... British army and travel to India, where they frequently run afoul of their Sergeant Major , and help their friend Alan reunite with his love Lorna McLaurel .
