Brian William Bocock is an American professional baseball shortstop for the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball. He attended Turner Ashby High School in Bridgewater, Virginia where he was a standout in both baseball and basketball. Bocock attended Stetson University in DeLand, Florida for three years, pursuing a degree in sports management. Bocock, who hit just .220 for the Single-A San Jose Giants in 2007, made the Major League roster in 2008 as the team's opening day shortstop because of an injury to Omar Vizquel.
