The Los Angeles Clippers is a basketball team in Los Angeles, California. They play in the Pacific Division of the Western Conference of the National Basketball Association . The club's home games are played at Staples Center, an arena shared with the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA, the Los Angeles... Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association , and the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League . The team has only had six winning seasons in its entire history, and only two since moving to Los Angeles in 1984. They have never won a division title or gotten past the second round of the NBA playoffs. In the team's first season in San Diego, it posted a winning record, going 43-39 under new head coach Gene Shue. However, that record was not good enough to advance to the post-season, as it was two games out of the final playoff spot. As it turned out, it would be the Clippers' last winning season for 13 years. It was also in that first season in Southern California that long-time announcer Ralph Lawler began his association with the club. Randy Smith had another solid season, averaging 20.5 points per game, finishing second behind World B.

Baylor University is a private, Christian university located in Waco, Texas. Founded in 1845, Baylor is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Baylor, a Texas district judge and onetime U.S. Congressman and soldier from Alabama, became the school's namesake. In the fall of 1844, the Texas Baptist Education Society petitioned the Congress of the Republic of Texas to charter a Baptist university. Republic President Anson Jones signed the Act of Congress on February 1, 1845, officially establishing Baylor University. The founders built the original university campus in Independence, Texas.

Temple is a city in Bell County, Texas, United States. Located near the county seat of Belton, Temple lies in the region referred to as Central Texas. Scott & White is the largest employer in town with about ten thousand employees. With Scott & White, the Veterans' Hospital Center, and other smaller clinics, Temple is home to more physicians per capita than any other community in the nation.
