Brodney Depaul Pool is an American football safety for the Dallas Cowboys of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the second round of the 2005 NFL Draft. He played college football at Oklahoma. Pool has also played for the New York Jets. Pool attended Westbury High School where, as a senior, and he was a five star recruit. During his senior season, he had 75 tackles and 11 interceptions as a safety. As a running back, he rushed 40 times for 159 yards and 2 touchdowns, and received 3 passes for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns. As a junior, he had 114 tackles... and four interceptions. He also lettered in track. In 2002 as a true freshman Pool played in every game and recorded 34 tackles. In 2003 Pool started every game at safety and was a First Team All-Big 12 selection. In 2004 Pool was on the Thorpe and Nagurski Watchlists. He was the leader of the Oklahoma secondary and started all 13 games. He was a Third-Team All-American as well. Pool was drafted with the 34th pick by the Browns.
