Brother MFC-7840W - Good Printer with LOUSY Software May 6, 2009
1.00 1/5.0
Pros:
Fast, very reasonably priced B&W multifunction printer/fax/copier/scanner [with scanning in color]
Cons:
Horrid user interface requiring unnecessary convolutions to reset scanning settings

Review: Don't buy it until Brother produces more user friendly control software, unless you use it as a wireless printer only, not for its wireless multifunction capability

Beating the inkjet blues ... Apr 10, 2009
5.00 5/5.0
Pros:
Print quality Wireless connection Ease of use Economy of expendables (toner vs inkjet cartridges) Paper size and type
Cons:
Questionable durability for multi-person heavy office use. No auto-duplex capabilites.

Review: A good level of bang for the buck. For household or in-home office use this machine should fit the bill especially if you're looking for wireless compatiblity.

Good unit and good value for the price Feb 7, 2009
5.00 5/5.0
Pros:
Great Printing Resolution. Good Scanner overall. Quiet operation after startup. Setup was a snap.
Cons:
No Duplexer. Only comes with a "starter" toner cartridge instead of the full-sized TN-360.

Review: A great device that has a small foot-print, is full-featured and does all of them well - and all at a very affordable price. Bottom line: Great device/Great value.

A Sad Disappointment - this is long but please read before you buy Dec 24, 2008
2.00 2/5.0
Pros:
Clear & crisp b&w laser printing. Flatbed copier and scanner. Wireless.
Cons:
Envelope printing doesn't work, poor written documentation, cheap & flimsy construction, clueless tech support.

Review: See if you can do better than this, even if you have to spend a little more. Why? Machine jams constantly, cheap construction, problems with tech support and wireless.
