Brotherhood of the Wolf is a 2001 French historical drama film directed by Christophe Gans, written by Gans and Stéphane Cabel, starring Samuel Le Bihan, Mark Dacascos, Vincent Cassel, Monica Bellucci and Emilie Dequenne. Its original title is Le Pacte des loups http://fr.wikipedia.org//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Le_Pacte_des_loups which literally means "the pact of the wolves." This film is loosely based on a real-life series of killings that took place in France in the 18th century and the famous legend around the Beast of Gévaudan. Parts of the film were shot at Château de... Roquetaillade. Despite being a historical drama film, the film borrows freely from a range of other genres: the film contains elements of mystery, romance, erotica, politics, horror, adventure, martial arts, monster, thriller, and fantasy.
