504 Boyz is a hip hop group led by Percy Miller, aka Master P. The group's name is a reference to the area code 504. Originally the group consisted... of Master P, Mystikal and Silkk The Shocker . Right before the release of their first album C-Murder & Krazy were added to the lineup. This lineup was intact on their debut, 'Goodfellas' which contained the hit "Wobble Wobble", which peaked at #17 in the U.S.. After No Limit Records moved over from Priority Records to Universal Records, their lineup was altered from the first album Goodfellas, C-Murder was incarcerated, Mystikal who had left the label not long after the Goodfellas album was released was also incarcerated so the only returning members were Magic, Krazy, Master P & Silkk The Shocker. Their new line up consisted of Choppa, Curren$y, Krazy, Magic, Master P, Silkk The Shocker & T-Bo for their second album, Ballers, which includes the hit Tight Whips. After Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in 2005, 504 Boyz released their third and currently their final studio album, We Gon Bounce Back.

Asylum Records is an American record label founded in 1971 by David Geffen and partner Elliot Roberts, who had previously worked as agents at the William Morris Agency. Founded specifically to provide a record contract for Jackson Browne, the label signed Tom Waits, Linda Ronstadt, Joni Mitchell,... The Eagles and Bob Dylan for two albums. It was taken over by Warner Communications in 1972, and merged with Elektra Records to become Elektra/Asylum Records. After various incarnations, today it is geared primarily towards hip-hop, along with rock and Alternative Metal. It is owned by Warner Music Group, and is currently distributed through Warner Bros. Records. Asylum was founded in 1971 by David Geffen, and partner Elliot Roberts, who had previously worked as agents at the William Morris Agency, and operated a folk/rock label. They founded their own management company, and when Geffen was unable to get a recording contract for Jackson Browne, one of his clients at the time, Geffen and Roberts founded Asylum specifically to sign Browne. Asylum's early releases were distributed by Atlantic Records.

Priority Records is an American record label, owned and operated by EMI, which has made a name for itself dealing primarily in hip hop, pop and world. Priority has also provided distribution for other labels such as Rap-A-Lot Records, Ruthless Records, Death Row Records, Wu-Tang Records, Rawkus... Records, No Limit Records, Roc-A-Fella Records, Scarface Records, Black Market Records, Rhythm Safari and Tass Radio Records. The Los Angeles-based company was formed in 1985 by three former K-tel executives: Bryan Turner, Mark Cerami and Steve Drath. Initial funding was provided by R-tek, a company headed by former K-tel board members: Ray and Harold Kives, and their company took an initial 50% ownership in Priority. Priority bought out the R-tek interest in 1987. To support early operations, Priority licensed repertoire from others and released compilation albums but soon began to develop its own significant artist roster.
