Canton is a city in Lewis County, Missouri, United States. The population was 2,557 at the 2000 census. Canton is the site of Culver-Stockton College, a small liberal arts college affiliated with the Christian Church . It is part of the Quincy, IL–MO Micropolitan Statistical Area. According to the United States Census Bureau, Canton has a total area of 2.5 square miles , of which, 2.3 square miles of it is land and 0.3 square miles of it is water.
