The Estadio Olímpico de la UCV is a multi-purpose stadium in Caracas, Venezuela. It is a multipurpose stadium with a running track used... primarily for the practice of football, athletics and rugby, which is part of the Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas and as such named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, one of the most important stadiums of Venezuela and one of the oldest in the country. Anecdotally, the Venezuela national football team has not played at this stadium as of September 3, 2003. It is the home stadium for the Caracas football teams Deportivo Italia and Caracas FC. The stadium is one of the many sports complexes in the Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas. This university campus designed by Carlos Raúl Villanueva was built between 1940 and 1960. It is an outstanding example of modern architecture. The campus integrates a number of buildings and functions into a cohesive ensemble, and includes such masterpieces as the Aula Magna with the "Clouds" by Alexander Calder, the Estadio Olimpico, and the Covered Plaza.

Estadio Brígido Iriarte is a multi-purpose stadium in Caracas, Venezuela. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home... stadium of the Venezuelan Primera División team Real Esppor Club and two teams of the second tier league . The stadium currently holds 10,000 people. It was completely renovated in 2007.

María Teresa Carreño García de Sena was a Venezuelan pianist, singer, composer, and conductor. Born into a musical family, she was at... first taught by her father, then by Mathias, Louis Moreau Gottschalk and Anton Rubinstein and her talent was recognized at an early age. In 1862 her family emigrated to New York City, and at the age of 8 she made her debut at Irving Hall that same year. In 1863 she performed for Abraham Lincoln at the White House. In 1866 she moved to Europe, and began touring, making her debut as an opera-singer in 1876. It wasn't until 1885 that she returned to Venezuela, and then only for a short period. In 1889 she returned to Europe for more touring, settling in Berlin as her home base. She mounted two world tours in the early years of the twentieth century, but her health deteriorated and she died in 1917, in her apartment in the Della Robbia at 740 West End Avenue on the north east corner at 96th Street in New York City. Teresa Carreño married four times: Teresa Carreño was also a composer; she composed at least 40 works for piano, 2 for voice and piano, 2 for choir and orchestra, and 2 as chamber music.

Franco De Vita is a singer-songwriter. His first disc as a solo artist garnered three Spanish-language hits in Venezuela. He signed with the Sony... label in 1988, and in 1990, his album Extranjero had a song that reached No. 1 on the U.S. Latin charts and won an MTV Video Music Award. His 2004 album Stop reached the Top 10 throughout Latin America and on the U.S. Latin charts. One of four children born in Venezuela to Italian immigrants, De Vita’s family returned to Italy when he was 3. The family moved back to Venezuela when De Vita was 13. Due to his upbringing in Italy, De Vita learned Italian as his first language and did not learn Spanish until he returned to Venezuela at age 13. He later studied piano at the university level. In 1982, De Vita formed the group Icaro, which released one self-titled album in his homeland. Two years later, he released his first disc as a solo artist, simply titled Franco De Vita. The album spun off three Spanish-language hits: "Somos Tres", "No Hay Cielo", and "Un Buen Perdedor". His 1986 album Fantasía produced several more hits, including the title song and "Aquí Estás Otra Vez".

Guillermo Dávila is a Venezuelan actor and singer who has acted in many telenovelas. After starting his career in theatre in the 1970s,... Dávila first gained national fame in a telenovela called Ligia Elena, becoming famous internationally in 1983, when he starred in its sequel, Nacho, for Venevisión. He played the eponymous main character. He then went to Puerto Rico, where he starred alongside Ivonne Goderich in the 1984 soap opera Diana Carolina for WAPA-TV. The series' title song, "LLevo perfume a ti", became a number-one hit for him. Dávila's international stardom somewhat faded after that, but he remained busy at home with numerous soap operas television shows, and album releases, until 1992 when he made a comeback to the international arena with another soap opera, Cara Sucia. As a singer, Dávila has released over ten albums, some of which reached international platinum or gold status. He sang the songs on the soundtracks for nearly all the soap operas he starred in.

Édgar Filiberto Ramírez Arellano is a Venezuelan actor. He played Carlos in the 2010 French-German biopic series Carlos, a role for which... he won the César Award for Most Promising Actor at the César Awards 2011. He also played "Paz", a CIA assassin in the movie The Bourne Ultimatum. Ramírez studied communications at the Andrés Bello Catholic University. Afterwards he worked in media and considered becoming a diplomat. When Iñárritu was critically praised, he decided to pursue his performing hobby as a career. Ramírez was born in San Cristóbal, Táchira, Venezuela, the son of Soday Arellano, an attorney, and Filiberto Ramírez, a military officer. He has a sister named Nataly. Most of his childhood was spent traveling in different countries, thanks to which he speaks five languages fluently: Spanish, German, English, French and Italian. Ramirez graduated in 1999 from the Andrés Bello Catholic University with a degree in mass communication, minoring in political communications, since he intended to become a diplomat in international relations. While in college he worked as a journalist, reporting on politics.

Alberto Naranjo [nah-rahn'-ho] is a musician. He was born in Caracas, Venezuela. His mother, the singer Graciela Naranjo, was a radio, film and... television pioneer in her homeland. Largely self-taught, Alberto embarked on a similar musical course, becoming – like his mother – one of Venezuela's icons of contemporary popular music. In his early years, Naranjo was influenced by diverse music genres such as jazz and classical, from Louis Armstrong to Duke Ellington; from Bud Powell to Thad Jones and Mel Lewis; from Béla Bartók to Claude Debussy, and specially, the music created by Tito Puente, one of the greatest all-time Latin jazz leaders. Puente revolutionised the role of the drums in stage performance, when he moved the drum kit and timbales from the back to the front of stage, highlighted it as a solo instrument, and demonstrated that a drummer can also be a gifted composer and arranger. With Puente as his role model, Naranjo started professionally as a drummer in 1959, at age 18, playing with several local dance bands including Chucho Sanoja , Los Melódicos and Porfi Jiménez .

José Luis Rodríguez González, nicknamed El Puma , is a Venezuelan singer and actor who has recorded many international super hits and... participated in a handful of telenovelas. José Luis Rodríguez was born in Caracas. He lost his father at the age of six, and was raised by his mother along with 11 brothers and sisters. He grew up in very modest conditions, having to shine shoes, and pack bags in a supermarket for a living at an early age. Without an academic formation, he shaped himself as a singer and actor by empirical means. As his mother participated in the revolt against Marcos Pérez Jiménez , Rodríguez lived in exile in Ecuador with her and his brother, for a couple of years. Rodríguez surfaced in his homeland in the late 1960s and early 1970s, and was able to build a fan base there. He also participated in a famous commercial, along with his family during that time. Rodríguez went to Puerto Rico, where he participated in the Telenovela Cristina Bazán, alongside Johanna Rosaly and young Adamari López.

Carrillo was part of a music band in Venezuela along with 2 siblings. Born in Venezuela and educated mostly in London, Carrillo returned to Venezuela and attended the Universidad Central de Venezuela. He has recently relocated to Los Angeles where he hopes to pursue a crossover career in American television. Carrillo was married to fellow Venezuelan actress Catherine Fulop, whom he met on the set of Abigail, one of the most popular South American soap operas of the 1980s. Carrillo met Fulop in 1988. They wed in 1990 and divorced in 1994. He has a son, Angel Gabriel, born November 2008. Carrillo and his brothers released a CD in 1998 called NueveDosDe Algun Dia.

The fine craftsmanship, remarkable beauty, and originality of his works capture the insouciance of la belle époque. Reynaldo Hahn was born in Caracas, Venezuela, the youngest of twelve children. Reynaldo's father Carlos was an affluent engineer, inventor, and businessman of German-Jewish extraction; his mother, Elena María de Echenagucia, was a Venezuelan of Spanish, origin, as most wealthy families descending from Spanish colonist in that country. The increasingly volatile political atmosphere in South America during the 1870s caused his father to retire and leave Venezuela. Hahn's family moved to Paris when he was three years old. Although he showed interest in his native music of Caracas in his youth, France would "determine and define Hahn's musical identity in later life".
