The toughest watch in the world is now the smartest watch in the world. The Atomic Solar G-Shock features Tough Solar Power and up to the second precision timekeeping. The Atomic Solar G-Shock is so smart and self-sufficient; you don't have to worry about changing its batteries or even setting the time. It's powered by a tough solar cell and sets the time itself using a receiver inside that picks up a radio frequency from the US Government's precise atomic clock in Fort Collins, Colorado. See manual for reception advice, including ideal conditions and interference factors. Shock resistant and water resistant to 200 meters.

Product Reviews

Great Watch for most purposes Oct 25, 2007
4.00 4/5.0
Pros:
Solar powered with rechargeable battery Radio controlled automatic time setting Tough design, should last long
Cons:
Time-stamp feature not useful (to me) Round dial indicators difficult to read

Review: Excellent general purpose, wear it every day, "techie" watch. Being radio controlled, it will always be accurate. It is solar powered and shouldn't need a new battery every year.

Great Watch for use in America and in the world! Feb 17, 2007

Pros:
Atomic Clock, Clear Numbers, Overall Look, Durable
Cons:
Watch does not automatically set itself, very pricey

Review: A great watch with a nice look and tough and durable. The watch is incredibly water resistant and is very accurate.

Casio Solar G-SHOCK Oct 20, 2006
5.00 5/5.0
Pros:
Good looking, durable and full of great gadgets.
Cons:
Realy big and heavy.

Review: I recomend this watch even if you are not that active, because it will last.

Millisecond accuracy in a fashionably late world Sep 24, 2006
4.00 4/5.0
Pros:
G-Shock durability, Accuracy, Solar Power, Large time display
Cons:
Size, Lack of countdown timer, recessed buttons, Questionable rechargeable battery reliability, Price

Review: I can only recommend this watch to those who like the novel idea of solar power and atomic time coupled with G-Shock durability.

Casio G-Shock GW500A-1V Sep 25, 2005
4.00 4/5.0
Pros:
Nice looking watch. Has a few common, useful features. Mostly for gadget freaks.
Cons:
Expensive, complex, impractical. Here today, gone tomorrow.

Review: Nice watch, made well, pricey and gadgety. It's plastic, so probably won't be in production when you want to replace it. Seems worth more like $70. than the $120. mark.
