Leslie Moonves /ˈmuːnvɛz/ is President and Chief Executive Officer of CBS Corporation. Moonves served as co-president and co-chief... operating officer of Viacom, Inc., the predecessor to CBS Corporation, from 2004 until the company split on December 31, 2005. Prior to that he had been in a series of executive positions for CBS since July 1995. He is also one of the Board of Directors at ZeniMax Media. Moonves was born in New York City and grew up in Valley Stream, New York. He attended Valley Stream Central High School and went to Bucknell University, graduating in 1971. In his sophomore year he realized he hated the sciences, so he switched his major to Spanish and acted in a few plays. Moonves had previous upper management experience early in his business career. He was in charge of first-run syndication and pay/cable programming at 20th Century Fox Television. Another position he held at 20th Century Fox Television was Vice President of movies and mini-series.

December 21, 2007 became chairman of Midway Games . Through National Amusements, Shari Redstone and her family are majority owners of CBS Corporation, Viacom, et al. She is the daughter of Sumner Redstone and Phyllis Gloria Raphael, sister of Brent Redstone, granddaughter of Michael Redstone , and a 1975 Bachelor of Science graduate of Tufts University. She also received her law degrees at Boston University School of Law in 1978 and in 1980 . Ms. Redstone and her father have feuded publicly over issues of corporate governance and the future of the cinema chain. Documents have been made public which verify that, as part of a settlement from Sumner's first divorce, all of Sumner's stock is in irrevocable trusts that will be left to his grandchildren.
