Li Yuchun also known as Chris Lee is a Chinese pop singer and actress who achieved instant fame when she won the nationwide singing contest Super... Girl in 2005. She is now working with Taihe Rye Music and released her first album The Queen and the Dream in September 2006. Her second album titled Mine was released in early November 2007. Her third album, Youth of China was released in May 2008, and her fourth album, "Li Yuchun" came out in 2009. She made her film debut in the 2009 film Bodyguards and Assassins. Born in a working class family in Chengdu, Li Yuchun was not encouraged to pursue a career in entertainment. Her father, a railway police officer, and her mother, a retired housewife, wanted her to be a doctor. At the age of 18, just before the national university entrance exam, she told her parents that she wanted to get into a music conservatory. Although shocked by her ambition, her parents found a music tutor for her. They thought she would give up because her chance of getting in was very small. To their surprise, after one month of intensive training she passed the artistic exam.

Jane Zhang also known as Zhang Liangying is a Mainland Chinese pop singer. She rose to prominence after her third-place performance in the 2005... season of the Super Girl contest, a national all-female singing competition in the People's Republic of China. Throughout the competition, she sang in English, Spanish and Cantonese in addition to Mandarin Chinese. She is particularly known for her signature whistle register. Zhang's debut album was titled The One and was produced by Craig Williams. Her next album, Update, broke away from the Chinese pop scene by combining elements of R&B and jazz. After the release of Update, Zhang participated in a World Peace One concert that was designed to increase awareness and activism for world peace, and to raise funds for humanitarian relief. Other participating artists included U2, Madonna, Pink Floyd and Green Day. Her father was an engine attendant for a transportation company in Chengdu, and her mother was a shop assistant. During her childhood, she performed at her parents' workplace on several occasions.

Fala Chen is a Chinese-American beauty pageant titleholder. Chen has held the titles of Miss Asian America 2002 and Miss NY Chinese 2004, and placed... as runner-up in Miss Chinatown USA 2003 and Miss Chinese International 2005. Chen was born in Chengdu, People's Republic of China, in 1982. She moved to the United States at the age of 15 in 1997. She attended Emory University in Georgia, where she majored in Marketing and International business and minored in Japanese. During her first year in college, she started entering beauty pageants. She graduated from Goizueta Business School of Emory University with a BBA degree in May, 2005. Representing Georgia, Chen entered the Miss Asian America 2002 pageant. At the young age of 20, she took the crown on August 2002. She performed a traditional peacock dance in a golden dress for her talent. Her dance was taught by her mother. After taking the Miss Asian America crown in 2002, she entered the Miss Chinatown USA 2003 pageant.

Zhang Liyin , better known in South Korea as Jang Ri-in, is a Chinese solo singer active in China and South Korea. Subject to much publicity, Zhang... has been nicknamed the "Chinese BoA" and the next leader of the Korean wave. She speaks both Mandarin, which is her first language, and moderate Korean, and has released singles in both Korea and China, singing in both languages. Her fan club color is Gold and her fans call themselves "Chocolate". Zhang has released only one studio album since her debut in 2006, but its singles carried a few top ten titles, such as "Timeless," which was a #1 hit, as well as "I Will". She is also the first foreign artist to win Best New Solo Artist at the M.net Asian Music Awards. Her first album, I Will has sold over 260,000 copies since its release in March 2008. Zhang was born in Sichuan, China as a native from Chengdu. Her parents took her to their classical concerts and exposed her to a variety of music. At three years old, she began to learn the violin. Zhang was so accustomed to classical, American, and European pop music that she claims she never sang children's songs when she was a child.
