Chris Seefried

Joe 90 is an alternative rock band, which was formed from the group Gods Child, based in New York City, and was later relocated to Los Angeles. The... band members include Chris Seefried, Gary DeRosa, Craig Ruda and Adam Hamilton. DeRosa, Ruda, and Seefried were previously in a group known as Gods Child; and had released a handful of LPs under that moniker for Warner Brothers records. In 1994, Gods Child album Everybody had a national hit single, "Everybodys 1", which topped the Billboard Magazine "Modern Rock" and "Album Rock" categories simultaneously. By year's end, they had performed on a nationally televised show from host Conan O' Brien, as well as at a WNEW radio Christmas show at New York’s Roseland Ballroom. Their second album Aluminum, produced by Tim Palmer was critically acclaimed but the single "Female Elvis" only charted regionally. The band relocated to Los Angeles in 1996 and recruited Hamilton as a drummer. Seefried and Hamilton would go on to pen the song "Sleeping Pill" to be featured on a CD sampler released by the trade magazine Album Network. The song was credited to a band known as The Amazing Adventures of Joe 90 — a pseudonym for the duo.

Low Stars is a musical project of Dave Gibbs and Chris Seefried, that captures the sound of classic bands like Crosby, Stills, and Nash and The... Eagles. Low Stars began when Dave Gibbs was holding his annual benefit for the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund. Chris Seefried was on the bill, as well as Jude, who was added at the last minute. At the time, Gibbs was already playing on another project with Jeff Russo. Afterwards, the group ended up playing and singing on Russo's front porch in Hollywood. When a girl inside heard the music they were playing she commented that she missed that kind of music and the idea for the project was born. Starbucks Entertainment's attention was caught by the project and they offered to add them to their Hear Music Debut series, which is designed to introduce Starbucks customers to upcoming artists. Hear Music distributes the music via a record label and a XM satellite radio station, which is played in Starbuck's Cafes. The Low Stars eponymous album was produced by George Drakoulias and released in Starbuck's stores across America.

Warner Bros. Records Inc. is an American record label. It was the foundation label of the present-day Warner Music Group, and now operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of that corporation. It maintains a close relationship with its former parent, Warner Bros. Pictures, although the two companies... are independently owned. Rob Cavallo currently serves as Chairman of the company. Warner Bros. Records was originally established in 1958 as the recorded music division of the American movie studio Warner Bros. Pictures. For most of its existence it was one of a group of labels owned and operated by larger parent corporations. The sequence of companies that controlled Warner Bros. and its allied labels evolved through a convoluted series of corporate mergers and acquisitions from the early 1960s to the early 2000s. Over this period, Warner Bros. Records grew from a struggling minor player in the industry to become one of the top recording labels in the world. In 2003 these music assets were divested by their then owner Time Warner and purchased by a private equity group. This independent company traded as the Warner Music Group , before being bought by Access Industries in 2011.

Geffen Records is an American record label, owned by Universal Music Group, and operated as one third of UMG's Interscope-Geffen-A&M label group. Geffen Records was founded in 1980 by music industry businessman David Geffen who, in the early 1970s, had founded Asylum Records. Geffen stepped... down from Asylum in 1975, when he crossed over to film and was named a vice-president of Warner Brothers Pictures. He was fired from Warner circa 1978, but remained locked in a 5-year contract, preventing him from working elsewhere. He returned to work in 1980 and struck a deal with Warner Bros. Records to create Geffen Records. Warner provided 100 percent of the funding for the label's operations and distributed the label's releases in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom - CBS/Epic Records handled distribution in the rest of the world until 1985, when Warner Bros. also took over those territories. However, in the United Kingdom the label switched distribution from Warner Bros. to CBS in 1981. Profits were split 50/50 between Geffen and the respective distributors.

Chrysalis Records was a British record label that was created in 1969. The name was both a reference to the pupal stage of a butterfly and a combination of its founders names, Chris Wright and Terry Ellis. It started as the Ellis-Wright Agency. Chrysalis entered into a licensing deal with Chris... Blackwell's Island Records for distribution, based on the success of bands like Jethro Tull, Cat Stevens, Robin Trower and Procol Harum, which were promoted by the label. Jethro Tull signed with Reprise Records in the United States, which led Chrysalis to an American distribution deal with Reprise's parent company, Warner Bros. Records. This lasted from 1972 until U.S. Chrysalis switched to independent distribution in 1976. PolyGram handled international distribution and Festival Records covered Australia and New Zealand. Towards the end of the 1970s, the Chrysalis offshoot 2 Tone Records brought in bands such as The Specials and The Selecter. In 1979 Chrysalis bought and distributed the U.S. folk label Takoma Records, naming manager/producer Denny Bruce as president, who signed The Fabulous Thunderbirds and T-Bone Burnett.
