Jose, California at the age of ten with his mother and younger brother. His father died when Yang was two. He claimed that despite his mother being an English teacher, he only knew one English word on his arrival. Becoming fluent in three years, he was placed into an AP English class. Yang graduated from Sierramont Middle School and Piedmont Hills High School. Yang went on to earn a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University, where he was a member of Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. While Yang studied in Electrical Engineering at Stanford, he co-created in April 1994 with David Filo an Internet website called "Jerry and Dave's Guide to the World Wide Web" consisting of a directory of other websites. It was renamed "Yahoo!" . Yahoo! became very popular, and Yang and Filo realized the business potential and co-founded Yahoo! Inc. in April 1995.

Michael David Capellas is Chief Executive Officer of Acadia Enterprises, LLC a joint venture of Cisco and EMC with investment from Intel and... VMware. He also serves as Chairman of the Virtual Computing Environment coalition. Capellas previously served as Chairman and CEO of First Data Corporation, Acting CEO of Serena Software, Chairman and CEO of Compaq Computer Corporation until its merger with Hewlett-Packard where he became President of the post-merger company briefly, and President and CEO of WorldCom where he led its merger with Verizon. Capellas says he inherited his gritty determination from his father, a Greek citizen who fought with the Greek Army against the Germans in Italy in World War II. After the war, the elder Capellas met and married his wife, Juliet, in Italy. The family then emigrated to Ohio where Capellas' father worked his way up from laborer to superintendent at the Republic Steel Corp. My dad had an unbelievable work ethic. He was intensely loyal to the company. He worked there for 30 years, says Capellas. As an undergraduate at Kent State University, Capellas developed an interest in computers.
