Mageina Tovah is an American actress. She is best known for her roles as Glynis Figliola in the television series Joan of Arcadia and as Ursula... Ditkovich in the Spider-Man films. Tovah was born Mageina Begtrup in Honolulu, Hawaii, where her father was a US Army psychiatrist in the Green Berets, and her mother was an Army physical therapist. Her family later settled in Clarksville, Tennessee and then moved to Nashville. Mageina has a sister, Rebecca Begtrup, who is a pediatrician and psychiatrist in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mageina attended Martin Luther King Junior Magnet High School in Nashville, Tennessee. She skipped a year of high school, taking both her Junior year of honors English and her Senior year of AP English at the same time. She graduated from high school at the age of 16. For college, Mageina started at The California Institute of the Arts, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the USC in three and a half years. She later moved to New York and Los Angeles. As well as her recurring role on Joan of Arcadia, Tovah's television work include guest roles on a number of TV shows.

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix was an American guitarist and singer-songwriter. He is widely considered to be the greatest electric guitarist in... musical history, and one of the most influential musicians of his era across a range of genres. After initial success in Europe with his group The Jimi Hendrix Experience, he achieved fame in the United States following his 1967 performance at the Monterey Pop Festival. Later, Hendrix headlined the iconic 1969 Woodstock Festival and the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. He often favored raw overdriven amplifiers with high gain and treble and helped develop the previously undesirable technique of guitar amplifier feedback. Hendrix, as well as his friend Eric Clapton, popularized use of the wah-wah pedal in mainstream rock which he often used to deliver an exaggerated sense of pitch in his solos, particularly with high bends, complex guitar playing, and use of legato. As a record producer, Hendrix also broke new ground in using the recording studio as an extension of his musical ideas.

Rachel Renee Smith is an American beauty queen and television personality from Clarksville, Tennessee, who won the Miss USA pageant in 2007 and who... previously had competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant. Smith was born on a U.S. Army base in Panama. She lived in Clarksville after her parents were stationed to Fort Campbell. She is biracial, half African-American and half European-American. She attended Clarksville Academy and graduated from Davidson Academy for high school. Smith graduated magna cum laude from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 with a bachelor of science in journalism. Smith graduated a semester early, in December 2006. She received a full tuition scholarship to attend Belmont due to her community service activities and academic achievements throughout high school. While she was at Belmont, she interned in Chicago, Illinois, for eight months with Harpo Productions, a company owned by Oprah Winfrey. In January 2007, it was announced that she had been chosen by Winfrey to volunteer for one month at her Leadership Academy for Girls.

James "Stump" Johnson was an American blues pianist and singer from St. Louis. James "Stump" Johnson was the brother of Jesse Johnson, "a prominent... black business man," who around 1909 had moved the family from Clarksville, Tennessee, to St. Louis, where he ran a music store and was a promoter. James, a self-taught piano player, he made a career playing the city's brothels. He had an instant hit with the "whorehouse tune" "The Duck's Yas-Yas-Yas," "a popular St. Louis party song." The song's title is explained by quoting the lyrics more fully: "Shake your shoulders, shake 'em fast, if you can't shake your shoulders, shake your yas-yas-yas." He made a number of other recordings under various pseudonyms. One of the more obscene tunes was a version of "Steady Grinding'," true to the original of the song, which he recorded with Dorothea Trowbridge on August 2, 1933.
