Claymont

The Robinson House is a historic guest house located at the junction of Naamans Road and The Kings Highway in Claymont, Delaware, in the United... States. It was built in 1723, on the site of the original settlement on Naaman's Creek. The Block House, which stands a few yards northeast of the Robinson House, is the only remaining building from the original 1654 settlement. George Washington, General Anthony Wayne, the Marquis de Lafayette, and “Light Horse” Harry Lee were all guests at the Robinson House. From 1914 to 1964, the Robinson House was home to the Naamans Tea House. The Robinson House is currently the home of the Claymont Historical Society, the Darley Society, and the Naamans Heritage Association.

Valerie Anne Bertinelli is an American actress, best known for her roles as Barbara Cooper Royer on the television series One Day at a Time , Gloria... on the television series Touched by an Angel and Melanie Moretti on the sitcom Hot in Cleveland . Bertinelli was born in Wilmington, Delaware to Irish/Italian-American parents Nancy and Luke Bertinelli . She had an older brother, Mark, who died at 17 months from an accidental poisoning before Valerie was born. Along with her other three brothers, one older and two younger, the family lived in Claymont, Delaware, and Clarkston, Michigan. They later moved to Oklahoma City before moving to the Los Feliz section of Los Angeles, California, where Bertinelli studied acting at the Tami Lynn School of Artists. She attended Granada Hills High School until 1978 but did not graduate. As of January 2008, she was pursuing the last few credits needed for her high school diploma. She was raised Roman Catholic.
