Colin Lewes Hanks is an American actor who is best known for his work as Shaun Brumder in the film Orange County and as Alex Whitman in Roswell. He also portrayed the role of Henry Jones in Band of Brothers and appeared on the sixth season of the Showtime crime drama Dexter. He is the eldest son of actor Tom Hanks. Hanks was born Colin Lewes Dillingham in Sacramento, California, the oldest son of actor Tom Hanks and his first wife, the late producer and actress Samantha Lewes , who died of bone cancer on March 13, 2002. His name was changed to Hanks after his parents married in 1978. He has... a sister, Elizabeth and two younger paternal half-brothers, Chester Marlon Hanks and Truman Theodore Hanks from his father's second marriage to actress Rita Wilson. Hanks attended Sacramento Country Day School and then Chapman University before transferring to and graduating from Loyola Marymount University.
