The Companion to British History is a single-volume encyclopaedic reference work "bigger than a foundation stone, longer than the Bible" written by the sole hand of Charles Arnold-Baker and originally published by his son Henry von Blumenthal in 1996. It was described by The Spectator as "arguably one of the most remarkable books ever written". Later published by Routledge and most recently by Loncross Denholm Press , the story of how the book came to be published became the subject of a feature article in the Daily Telegraph on May 30th., 2006 - see... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/arts/main.jhtml?xml=/arts/2006/05/30/bahistory.xml.
