The Hezekiah Chaffee House is a historic home in Windsor, Connecticut. The home was built in 1765 for Dr. Hezekiah Chaffee and is a "true 15 room... Georgian Colonial." Today the house is a museum located in the Palisado Avenue Historic District. Both the district and the house itself are on the National Register of Historic Places. The museum is run by the Windsor Historical Society and is open April through October, Tuesday-Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm.

The Dr. Elizur Hale House is a historic home in Glastonbury, Connecticut. It is located at 3181 Hebron Avenue and is listed in the National Register... of Historic Places. Dr. Hale was the son of Captain Jonathan Hale and Sarah Hale. He graduated from Yale in 1742. "having studied medicine, settled in his native town to practice. He died May 27, 1790, after having assiduously performed the duties of his calling forth-four years." He was also involved in the town politically, representing Glastonbury in the general assembly. "He is said to have been dignified though rough exterior, witty and sarcastic, but benevolent and very useful. Family tradition represents him as abundant in kind deeds, and generous in the use of his property as well as in counsel to the needy." He was married to Abigail Hollister on March 23, 1790. Together, they had five sons. His son Elizur was also a doctor in Glastonbury. He died December 6, 1796. Dr. Hale Sr. died on March 23, 1749.

The Captain Nathaniel Hayden House is a historic home in Windsor, Connecticut. Nathaniel Hayden, son of Nathaniel Hayden, was born December 14, 1738.... He first married Anna Flier, then Rhoda Lyman. With Rhoda, he had four children: Nancy, Nathaniel Lyman, Naomi and Pliny. He went to work with his father as a farmer and a shoemaker, but joined the Revoutionary Army. When news of the Battle of Lexington reached Connecticut, he led 23 men to Massachusetts to take part. When George Washington evacuated New York City during the Battle of Long Island in 1776, Hayden was with the army. He also led a group in 1777 to thwart John Burgoyne's efforts to join the British at Saratoga, but Burgoyne had surrendered before he arrived. The Captain Nathaniel Hayden House is located at 128 Hayden Station Road in Windsor, Connecticut. The home was inherited by Captain Hayden's son Nathaniel. The 165-foot-tall Heublein Tower located in Talcott Mountain State Park in Connecticut provides panoramic views of the Hartford skyline and the... Gilbert Heublein was a magnate in the area of food and beverage, most notably as manufacturer of A1 Steak Sauce and Smirnoff Vodka; he founded Heublein Inc. While hiking with his fiance Louise M. Gundlach on Talcott Mountain, he promised her that one day he would build her a castle there. Designed by Smith and Bassette to survive 100 MPH winds, and built by T. R. Fox and Son in 1914, the Heublein Tower served as Gilbert Heublein's summer home and retreat. Smith and Bassette also designed the north and south wings of Governor's Mansion in 1916. Truly an architectural marvel, Mr. Heublein modeled this structure after buildings in his native homeland of Bavaria. Standing 165 feet tall and situated 1,000 ft. above the Farmington Valley, one can see for several dozen miles in all directions from the top floor observation lounge. The structure consists of a steel frame of 12-inch girders achored into the bedrock of the mountain ridge.

Loeb was a producer/writer on the TV series Smallville and Lost, writer for the films Commando and Teen Wolf and was a writer and Co-Executive Producer on the NBC TV show Heroes from its... premiere in 2006 to November 2008. In 2010, Loeb became Head of Television for Marvel in charge of drama, comedy and animation. A four-time Eisner Award winner and five-time Wizard Fan Awards winner, Loeb's comic book work, which has appeared on the New York Times Bestseller List, includes work on many major characters, including Spider-Man, Batman, Superman, Hulk, Captain America, Cable, Iron Man, Daredevil, Supergirl, the Avengers, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer, much of which he has produced in collaboration with artist Tim Sale. Jeph Loeb was grew up in Stamford, Connecticut. He reportedly read his first comic book during the summer of 1970. His later stepfather was a vice-president at Brandeis University, Waltham, Massachusetts, where Jeph met one of his mentors and greatest influences in comic book writing, the writer Elliot Maggin. She and her brother Gilbert were raised in Mexico by their maternal grandparents after their mother died in 1964. She was also raised at Château de Chaintré, the Sonnery family's estate near Saumur, Maine et Loire.
