Interview with Coronado, California
Coronado.ca.us has been recognized by Juggle as one of the top city government websites in the state of California. Below you'll find an message from Leslie Suelter, Director of Administrative Services:
The City of Coronado’s website has been in place for many years but received a major redesign about two years ago. Like most municipalities, the City of Coronado tries to provide valuable information on its website for its citizenry, businesses, and visitors. For citizens, this includes access to the municipal code, budget and financial reporting information, department information, and community events. For businesses, this includes regulatory information, online business licenses, and important business forms. And, for visitors, the City’s website includes information about City recreation facilities, links to visitor serving organization. The website is a work in progress and we constantly strive to keep it current and make improvements as needed. Without a specific Webmaster, it is incumbent upon each department to monitor and update its content. One of the most accessed areas of the website is the area for archived City Council meeting agendas, minutes, and televised meetings. Citizens also utilize the website to watch live City Council meetings. In the future, Coronado will continue to work on its website, monitoring trends in website design and services, and responding to feedback from its citizenry. The City strives for continuous improvement while not increasing its cost of doing business.
