St. Louis Metro East tech company Juggle.com was awarded as one of the 2011 Best Places to Work in the greater Saint Louis metropolitan area. Voted on by over 18,000 employees from over 127 companies, Juggle was one of a handful of recipients of this annual award.
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) March 22, 2011 — The Saint Louis Business Journal awarded Juggle.com as one of the 2011 Best Places to Work in the Saint Louis metropolitan area. Swansea, Illinois-based Juggle.com is an online encyclopedia and reference resource featuring facts, articles, images, biographies, and statistics covering thousands of popular topics.
To arrive at their decision, the journal surveyed 18,022 employees from 127 companies (with a combined employee count of 54,923). The competition was fierce. In some cases, companies’ scores were separated by one-tenth or even one-hundredth of a point.
CEO Stephanie Leffler understands the importance work environment can have on productivity levels. She stated, “At Juggle, employees are our biggest asset. We recognize the importance that culture and work environment can have on our team’s performance and do everything in our power to maximize that potential.” Transforming the boring office space was a challenge as well. “Creating an exciting, yet functional atmosphere was our number one priority when we met with building designer Bill Hustedde. In addition to the creative and fun atmosphere, we also wanted to maintain an environment that helps us to maximize our productivity levels,” Leffler noted.
The award was well-deserved as Juggle offers employees a wide variety of perks second to none. With flexible working hours, staff members enjoy the benefits of a break room featuring free snacks and drinks, a comfortable lounge with couches and games, such as ping pong ball and pool, among others and a workout room with state-of-the-art exercise equipment and locker rooms.
Maintaining this type of office environment is not an easy feat. When President Ryan Noble first brought Gary Hutchings, facilities manager, on board, the first goal he issued him was winning this award. “Hutch works seven days a week and does anything and everything needed to make this office run, whether it is maintaining all facilities, prepping the conference room for interviews or meetings, managing office equipment, stocking our refrigerators or even simply buying team members their favorite snacks. The work he does at this office is invaluable,” said Noble.
Juggle employees also participate in various off-site work functions, such as golf and bowling, promoting team building and open-communication. Employees also appreciate the perks of weekly messages, daily delivered lunches, haircuts and oil changes. Gary Hutchings said, “I am truly honored by the award. Working at Juggle is a pleasure because the staff is great and very appreciative; they make it easy to come in everyday and work hard.”
