Arletty was a French actress, singer, and fashion model. Arletty was born Léonie Marie Julie Bathiat in Courbevoie , to a working-class family.... Her early career was dominated by the music hall, and she later appeared in plays and cabaret. Arletty was a stage performer for ten years before her film debut in 1930. Arletty’s career took off around 1936, when she appeared as leading lady in the stage plays Les Joies du Capitole and Fric-Frac, in which she starred opposite Michel Simon. In 1945, Arletty appeared in her most famous film role, the central part of Garance in Marcel Carné's Les Enfants du Paradis, her fourth role for the director. Arletty was imprisoned in 1945 for having had a wartime liaison with a German officer during the occupation of France. She allegedly later commented on the experience, "My heart is French but my ass is international." After a moderately successful period as a stage actress in later life, an accident in 1963 left her nearly blind, forcing her to retire. One of her final screen appearances was in a small role as an elderly French woman in the 1962 epic The Longest Day.

Julie Ferrier is a French actress and comedian, born 5 December 1971 in Courbevoie. Julie is in the eighth generation of actresses on the maternal... side of her family. She was raised in a difficult housing project in the Seine-Saint-Denis town of Noisy Le Grand. In 1988 she entered the Conservatoire Municipal de Paris, then attended the École du cirque Fratellini. She was first interested in dance, in which field she worked professionally for ten years, for choreographers such as Philippe Decouflé—she danced at the opening ceremony of the Albertville Olympics in 1992—and was a colleague of Kamel Ouali. From 1996 to 1998 she took classes at the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School, directed by Alain Mollot. In 2001, she was in the Théâtre de la Jacquerie directed by Alain Mollot. In 2004, she played Today is Ferrier in a mise en scène by Isabelle Nanty. In 2006, her one-woman show Today is Ferrier was a public and critical success. Jean-Michel Delpech, known as Michel Delpech, on 26 January 1946 is a French singer-songwriter. In 1963, he had his debut release hit "Anatole" on... Disques Vogue. In 1964, Michel Delpech met Roland Vincent, and a long singing songwriting partnership ensued with Delpech being signed to Festival French record label. In 1965, he took part in music comedy Copains Clopant that had a 6-month run and made him very popular, particularly through his interpretation "Chez Laurette". He was the opening acts for Jacques Brel's goodbye concert at the Paris Olympia. In 1967, he collaborated with Johnny Stark. In 1968, he won "Grand Prix du Disque award for "Il y a des jours où on ferait mieux de rester au lit". Then he left Vogue to sign with Barclay Records. At the peak of his success, he recorded Wight Is Wight in tribute of Isle of Wight Festival, a famous rock festival on the Isle of Wight that became his best known song. The early 1970s brought separations from Johnny Stark and two years, and stopping of long collaboration with Roland Vincent, his first-ever writer. He had some new releases but with limited success.
