The Arizona Cardinals are a professional American football team whose team facilities are headquartered in Tempe, Arizona, a suburb of Phoenix. The team was established in Chicago in 1898 and was a charter member of the NFL in 1920. The club moved to St. Louis, Missouri, in 1960 and played in that city through 1987 . Other less commonly used nicknames were the "Gridbirds" or "Cardiac Cards" .

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette, or UL Lafayette, is a coeducational, public research university located in Lafayette, Louisiana, in the heart of Acadiana. It has the largest enrollment within the nine-campus University of Louisiana System and has the second largest enrollment in the state... of Louisiana. Founded in 1898 as an industrial school, the institution developed into a four-year university during the twentieth century and became known by its present name in 1999. Concurrently the university evolved into a national research and doctoral university as noted by its Carnegie categorization as a RU/H: research university . It offers Louisiana's only PhD in francophone studies and the only industrial design degree. The university has achieved several milestones in computer science, engineering and architecture. It is also home to a distinct College of the Arts. UL Lafayette's campus consists of 137 acres lined by live oak trees planted in 1900. Its quadrangle is encircled by a "Walk of Honor" path which contains more than 80,000 bricks bearing the names of every graduate, beginning with the first graduating class of 1903.

Marksville is a city in and the parish seat of Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana, United States. The population was 5,537 at the 2000 census. Louisiana's first land-based casino, Paragon Casino Resort, opened in Marksville in June 1994. It is run by the Tunica-Biloxi tribe. Marksville is named after Marc... Eliche, who established a trading post after his wagon broke down in this area. He was a Jewish Italian trader, believe to be from Venice, whose Italian name was recorded by a Spanish priest as Marco Litche, and as Marc Eliche by French priests after his trading post was established about 1794. Marksville was noted on Louisiana maps as of 1809. He later donated land that became the Courthouse Square that is still the center of Marksville today. Marksville has a strong Creole and Cajun population whence they have many families that have been there since it was incorporated, a few of these families are Sylvan, Trahan, Malveaux and Zachary.
