Donte Whitner is an American football safety for the San Francisco 49ers in the National Football League. He was drafted by the Bills in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft. He played collegiately at the Ohio State University. He is the older brother of current Chicago Rush linebacker/defensive end, Lindsey Witten. Whitner attended Glenville High School in Cleveland, Ohio. After his senior season he was invited to the U.S. Army All-American Bowl game.
