Douglas Geoffrey McGrath is an American screenwriter. He is also a film director and actor. McGrath was nominated for a both an Academy Award and a BAFTA award for his Bullets Over Broadway screenplay. He was twice nominated for a Writers Guild of America award: A son of Beatrice and R. Searle McGrath, an independent oil producer from Midland, Texas, McGrath married Jane Read Martin in 1995; they have one son named Henry.
