Dubai Women's College is one of 12 colleges that constitute the Higher Colleges of Technology , the largest institution of higher learning in the United Arab Emirates . Over 2,900 UAE national women have graduated from the HCT's Dubai Women's College since it was established in 1989, with graduates going on to work at all levels in both the government and private sectors in Dubai and across the UAE. Enrolment at the DWC campus has increased from less than 200 to over 2,200 students in 2006. DWC relocated to a new, purpose-built campus in the Al Quasis area of Dubai in 1998. Dubai Women's... College offers post-secondary courses in business, information technology, health science, communications technology and education. It offers the only engineering program for women in the HCT system ￢ﾀﾓ a higher diploma in software engineering. DWC also hosts a UNESCO Chair of Communication Technology and Journalism. In keeping with all HCT campuses, DWC places a strong emphasis on an innovative, project-driven and student-centred curriculum. English is used as the medium of instruction, with faculty recruited from around the world.
