The University Oval is a sports ground located at Logan Park, Dunedin, New Zealand, and owned by the Dunedin City Council. The ground was originally... owned by the University of Otago, but ownership was transferred to the city council when a redevelopment was completed in the early 2000s. The ground is the home of both the Otago Cricket Association and the University of Otago Rugby Football Club, and is also used as a training base for the Highlanders Rugby Football team. The University Oval hosted the first game where the Umpire Decision Review System was used. It was that third test between Pakistan v New Zealand when it was first used in international cricket. A media complex, which consists of television and radio commentary rooms, is situated at the northern end of the ground. Temporary scaffolding for television cameras is built at both ends of the ground when required. A historic grandstand is located at the southern end of the ground, and an electronic scoreboard on the north-eastern side.

The Edgar Centre is a large multi-purpose indoor sports venue in South Dunedin, New Zealand, on the shore of Otago Harbour close to Andersons Bay... Inlet. It is the home venue of the Otago Nuggets basketball team, and an alternate venue for the Southern Steel netball team. The centre also hosts a wide variety of other sports events and community events such as auctions and fairs, and is owned by the Dunedin City Council. The building is named after Dunedin millionaire and philanthropist Eion Edgar. Originally a wool-store, it was purchased and converted by the Dunedin City Council at a cost of NZ$2.5 million, of which 20% was provided by Edgar. The building was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II in 1995, and won the Hillary Commission's 1996 Win-Win Facility Award. Extensions were carried out during 1996, which included the addition of a seminar room, refreshment facilities, foyer, and control rooms. In 2005, extra work was carried out, extending the playing area with the addition of the Lion Foundation Arena, which also includes a medical centre and enlarged viewing areas. The Arena is also used for functions and events, hosting up to 1,600 dinner guests.

The Globe Theatre is the name of a theatre located in Dunedin, New Zealand, and the amateur theatre company that runs it. The theatre was built in... 1961 by Patric and Rosalie Carey as an extension of their house, at a time when professional theatre was virtually non-existent in New Zealand. The theatre is notable for premiering all of James K. Baxter’s plays. The building to which it is attached, at 104 London Street, was designed by William Mason as his own house and built in 1864.

The Forsyth Barr Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Dunedin, New Zealand. At various stages of development it was also known as Dunedin Stadium,... Awatea Street Stadium, New Carisbrook, or its non-commercial official name during the 2011 Rugby World Cup, Otago Stadium. The stadium was opened by New Zealand Prime Minister John Key on 5 August 2011, replacing Carisbrook as the home stadium of the Highlanders team in Super Rugby and the Otago Rugby Football Union in the domestic ITM Cup. The stadium hosted four matches of the 2011 Rugby World Cup. Forsyth Barr Stadium is known colloquially as 'The Glasshouse' due to its resemblance to a horticultural hot house. The stadium is located in Dunedin North, close to the outflow of the Water of Leith into Otago Harbour . Its site is close to several other major sports venues. Logan Park lies immediately to the north, and the University Oval and the Caledonian Ground are also nearby to the north of the stadium. Also to the north of the stadium is Logan Point quarry, at the foot of Signal Hill.

Dunedin, Jonathan studied both Law and Music at the University of Otago, graduating with a Bachelor of Laws in 1999. Lemalu studied at the Royal College of Music winning the college's gold medal award in 2002, and the prestigious London based Kathleen Ferrier Award also in 2002. He was a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist from 2002-2004. He was the 2004 winner of the Royal Philharmonic Society's award for Young Artist of the Year.

With work limited in New Zealand, Dale moved to Australia, where he played Dr. John Forrest in The Young Doctors from 1979 to 1982. He later appeared as Jim Robinson in Neighbours, a part he played for eight years. The character is the role Dale is most associated with in Australia and the United Kingdom. He left the series when he fell out with the producers over the pay he and the rest of the cast received. After leaving Neighbours, Dale became typecast as Robinson in Australia and struggled to find work. His career was revitalised after he relocated to the United States in 2000. Since then he has had roles in many American series including prominent parts in The O.C. and Ugly Betty , as well as recurring and guest roles in Lost, 24, NCIS, ER, The West Wing, The X-Files, Entourage and Once Upon a Time.

Originally from Dunedin... in the South Island of New Zealand, she attended Auckland's UNITEC School of Performing & Screen Arts and completed a three-year course in Acting. Colin Tapley was a British actor. Born in New Zealand, he served in the Royal Air Force and an expedition to Antarctica before winning a Paramount... Pictures talent contest and moving to Hollywood. He acted in over films before returning to Britain during the Second World War as a flight controller with the Royal Canadian Air Force. He returned briefly to New Zealand before returning once again to Britain to renew his acting career. His most famous role is as William Glanville in The Dam Busters but he spent much of his later career typecast as a police inspector, a role he played in several films and TV series before retiring to Gloucestershire. Tapley was born on 7 May 1907 at Dunedin, New Zealand. He took part in the first of Richard Byrd's expeditions to Antarctica before moving to the United Kingdom and joining the Royal Air Force. In 1933 he entered a talent contest organised by Paramount Pictures and was selected as one of thirty winners and one of only two from New Zealand. . He was rewarded with a contract with Paramount as a bit part actor, was credited in If I Were King and appeared uncredited in several other films.
