EarthBound

is an 11 year old fictional character in the RPG EarthBound for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, and is the only female party member. She... lives in Twoson. Paula is a PSI master and compensates for her lack of strength and HP with her psychic abilities, her very high PP level, and having the highest speed of the four main characters. Paula's PSI abilities are primarily offensive and lacks the healing PSI abilities of others, however she is also one of the two characters with the ability to regain used PP by draining it from her opponenets . Paula comes from Twoson , and joins Ness after he saves her from the Happy Happyist Cult. Two of Paula's offensive PSI, PK Fire & PK Thunder, are used by Ness in the Super Smash Bros. game series, sparking much confusion; though it could be concluded that "PK" stands for psychokinesis or psychokinetic. Moreover, in EarthBound, Ness is not able to use these attacks.

is a fictional character in the video game EarthBound and is one of the four main characters. He is the same age as Ness and is the technical genius... of the group. Jeff is from the Snow Wood Boarding School in Winters. His traits are those of a stereotypical nerd; he wears glasses and lacks physical ability, but is great with mechanics. Jeff wears glasses to correct for myopia. He wakes up in the middle of the night at a point receiving a telepathic message from Paula informing him that she and Ness need help. At that time, Ness and Paula were taken under captivity by zombies during their investigation of the undead-infested town Threed. Jeff breaks out of his dormitory with help from his friend Tony. He also acquires the Bad Key Machine from Maxwell, an older student at the school, in order to unlock the lockers in the store room. Maxwell also allows Jeff to save his game. Once he breaks out, he meets an important character named Brickroad, who devotes himself to making RPG dungeon complexes for unknown reasons. He meets another important character, his long lost dad who he hadn't seen for ten years, the time in the past when Giygas sent attacks to the time Ness comes from. Dr.

is a character in the video game EarthBound, he is one of the four major characters in the game. He comes from the mystical land of Dalaam. He has... undergone strict martial arts training, and has a special diet. In EarthBound, that means he can't eat any western-style foods, such as hamburgers or pizza and expect to recover much HP or PP . However, he can drink bottles of water to recover PP, and Eastern foods will recover his HP more than they will the other characters. Very late in the game, he learns one of the most powerful PSI attacks: PK Starstorm. He also has a mirror ability, which allows him to become any enemy in the game during battles. He also has high speed, but he is not as fast as his ally Paula is in battle. Poo is taken from the party and trains with an old man named Ryan-Woo-Pa , who shows him the powerful PK Starstorm. Poo cannot use any weapons except his fists, the yo-yos, slingshots and one special, hard to find item, the Sword of Kings. This can be found by defeating a Starman Super enemy under Stonehenge in Winters. There is a 1 in 128 chance of getting the sword.

is a fictional character and Ness' portly, obnoxious next-door neighbor in the Super Nintendo video game EarthBound. His family seems to hold a... grudge against Ness' family, because Pokey's father, Aloysius Minch, apparently loaned a few hundred thousand Dollars to Ness' dad, and never got them back . Pokey is a recurring villain and unlikely emissary to Giygas in EarthBound. He is also the main antagonist in Earthbound's Game Boy Advance sequel Mother 3. When a meteor falls outside their houses in Onett, Pokey temporarily joins Ness to find his younger brother, Picky , at the top of Onett's mountain. After meeting Picky, a bee from the future flies out of the meteor. It verbally identifies itself as "A bee I am not" and calls itself Buzz Buzz. It informs Ness that he is one of three boys who will defeat the evil Giygas. Pokey reassures himself that he is not one of those four, and after an encounter with another time traveler, Starman Junior, Pokey and Picky arrive home and receive a harsh scolding from their father, Aloysius.
