Arts et Métiers ParisTech is the French leading engineering school in the fields of mechanics and industrialization. The school trained 85,000 engineers since its foundation in 1780 by the Duke of La Rochefoucauld-Liancourt. It is a "Public Scientific, Cultural and Professional Institution" under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research. Formerly named École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers , it was a founding member of ParisTech. Arts et Métiers ParisTech consists of eight Teaching and Research Centers and three institutes spread... across the country. The primary goal of Arts et Métiers ParisTech is to provide an initial foundation in general engineering principles for the disciplines of mechanical engineering, power engineering and industrial engineering. Arts et Métiers ParisTech also offers continuing training for engineers and industry executives. With 19 research laboratories and two PhD programs, Arts et Métiers ParisTech develops teaching and research activities in three main fields: The school's training programs include about 20 Research-Based Masters specialisms, about 20 Specialist Masters programs and PhD studies.
