Cher is an American recording artist, television personality, actress, director, record producer and philanthropist. Referred to as the Goddess of... Pop, she has won an Academy Award, a Grammy Award, an Emmy Award, three Golden Globes and a Cannes Film Festival Award among others for her work in film, music and television. She is the only person in history to have received all of these awards. Cher began her career as a backup singer and later came to prominence as one half of the pop rock duo Sonny & Cher with the success of their song "I Got You Babe" in 1965. She subsequently established herself as a solo recording artist, and became a television star in 1971 with The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour, a variety show for which she won a Golden Globe. A well received performance in the film Silkwood earned her a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress of 1983. In the following years, Cher starred in a string of hit films including Mask, The Witches of Eastwick, and Moonstruck, for which she won the Academy Award for Best Actress of 1987. Cher, throughout a career spanning over 49 years, has broken many records.

Erma Franklin was an American gospel and R&B singer. She was the oldest daughter of Barbara and the Reverend C. L. Franklin and the elder... sister of Aretha Franklin. Her best known recording was the original version of "Piece of My Heart", written and produced by Bert Berns, for which she was nominated for a Grammy Award. Erma Vernice Franklin was born in Shelby, Mississippi, but reared in Detroit, where her father was pastor of the New Bethel Baptist Church. She was raised by both her parents until the age of ten when her parents separated with her mother taking her eldest sibling, half-brother Vaughn, with her to Buffalo, New York in 1948. Barbara Siggers-Franklin died four years later on March 7, 1952 in Buffalo, New York. During her childhood Erma and her sisters Aretha and Carolyn sang at New Bethel Baptist Church. Later, when sister Aretha became a recording artist, Erma provided backing vocals and toured with Aretha. Among her most notable back up performances for her sister was on Aretha's signature tune, "'Respect".

Tommy Hinkley is an American actor. Hinkley's on-screen career now spans more than 20 years, and since the beginning it has been supplemented by a... heavy dose of television guest roles, and periodic regular turns on TV series, including the short-lived Showtime series Hard Knocks, that also featured Bill Maher. He has also been known for his roles in such popular box office draws as The Cable Guy , Ocean's Thirteen and Leatherheads . Hinkley is a close friend of George Clooney and they have appeared in several projects together. Hinkley married actress Tracey Needham in January 1995, and they have one daughter, Katie, born in 1998.
