Elizabeth Nunez is a United States novelist, and Distinguished Professor of English at Hunter College, the City University of New York. She originally emigrated to the United States from Trinidad, and received her M.A. and Ph.D. in English from New York University. Nunez is an award-winning author of eight novels: Boundaries ; Anna-In-Between ; Prospero's Daughter ; Grace; Discretion ; Bruised Hibiscus ; Beyond the Limbo Silence ; and When Rocks Dance. Most of Nunez's novels have also been published as audio books, and two are in translation, in Spanish and German. Nunez has also written... several monographs of literary criticism published in scholarly journals. Called "a master of pacing and plotting" in the New York Times review of Prospero's Daughter, Nunez has received a great deal of praise for both the style and content of her writing.
